I love combing through Fashion Week highlights looking at everyone heading to runway shows, and the street style, which is basically a show itself. Not only because I am style-obsessed, but also because you get a real sense of what it trending (or should be) and maybe how you can incorporate it into your own wardrobe. A perfect example of this is Kate Bosworth in this striped shirt dress:
Kate attended the House of Holland runway show in London, wearing this chic, yet modernly updated shirt dress. The dress itself features that iconic pop culture throwback of Woody Woodpecker on the sleeve, which is from the Woody Woodpecker x House of Holland capsule collection. A lot of pop culture references are popping up in fashion lately, and the delicately placed image here is a great way to incorporate the trend, without being too in your face. The shirt dress has always been such a versatile piece, and it gets a great update here with the contrasting striped pattern and added black piping details.
Combat boots are also having another moment, and Kate’s pointed toe / chunky heel pair are also a great update that will make them versatile with other looks, and quite chic to boot (no pun intended, but let’s go with it). A simple black cross-body bag, a smooth center part on her straightened blonde hair, and a light berry kissed lip round out her look, keeping things minimal but quite on style.
What do you think of Kate’s statement here? Is it something you would try for yourself? Share your thoughts in the comments!
