I feel like I am forever changing up my foundation, especially when the seasons change. Most recently I was on the hunt for something lightweight and luminous. I really didn’t need a heavy coverage, but I did need something that would help to combat the dullness that was coming along with these cooler months. At this point in the game we all know of Physician’s Formula as a brand, but aside from their color correctors I had little experience with their products.
First of all, this packaging is just a little slice of a dream. The rose gold and pink with the bow? Yes; such girly and glamorous aesthetics up in here! Then, there’s the actual product itself; quite the surprise. It is so lightweight and the dense stubbed brush that comes with does a great job with application, allowing for just the right amount of coverage that doesn’t settle into pores or fine lines. The brush is definitely a gem in and of itself. My skin looks fresh and luminous as a result.
I love the sheen it gives off, but I also supplement with a little bit of natural toned finishing powder to lightly set some areas more than others, while maintaining the luminosity I had so desired. For the past few weeks I’ve been using I have not had any issues with the coverage holding up all day, and that’s even without a primer. On days when I was experiencing some extra facial redness I was using a green-based corrective primer, but that’s about it aside from routine facial care.
One downside would have to be that it is on the higher end of the price spectrum, as far as drugstore foundations go, retailing for about 12-15$ depending on where you are shopping. It comes in two color options, so I find that light/medium is a great, flattering fit for me. If you are fairest of the fair you may find the light shade to be slightly dark for you though. If you are looking for a moderately priced solution to combat dull winter skin then this Touch of Glow foundation might just be a great addition to your beauty routine.
