Emma Stone: Classics on Trend

We have been talking about Fall style for a little bit now up on this blog, and one of the things I am loving for this season, that we are seeing everywhere, is a sort of reinvention of classic pieces and looks. A couple weeks back I showcased Jessica Alba in a button-down/tulle skirt combo, and now I want to throw a shout out to Emma Stone for also taking some classically chic pieces and keeping them on trend and relevant today:

My first impression was definitely a nod to how effortless, but chic this look was overall. While out celebrating CFDA Fashion Fund finalists, Emma paired a Brock Collection white button-down blouse with a pencil skirt, also by Brock Collecion…two notoriously chic pieces, am I right?! To keep things more interesting and on trend, though, Emma has unbuttoned the blouse allowing for a plunging-V, and taken advantage of its sheer quality to give a peek of the bra she’s paired underneath.

Another playful twist to this outfit would have to be the ruffle detailing of the pencil skirt. The skirt had a mono-chrome floral pattern, so along the ruffle we get the contrast of the pattern with its lighter backing.

Metallic sandals and a chain strapped purse were further complements to her low-key chic look. Her signature fire-kissed locks were styled in soft waves, while her fresh face was glowing, courtesy of a warm makeup palette.

What’s really great about this look, and most others like it, is that it is easily accessible for everyone…all sizes, body types, and yes, buffets. It’s a great way to mix pattern and textures and create something unique to you, while maintaining effortless and polished benchmarks.
