When I saw this look that Jessica Alba rocked at the Valentino spring 2017 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, I instantly saw it as major inspo for mixing up classic style this season.
The classic button down was given the special treatment with a flared cuff and embroidered feathers, courtesy of Valentino. Alba paired the longer-cut top with a sheer red lace skirt, also by Valentino. It’s a beautiful pairing…the crispness of the top with the softer, more feminine bottom. Such a creative and unexpected styling, that can totally work for us non-celebs this season.
The detail of the lace with it’s subtle pops of tulle lead me to believe that a button down paired with a tulle skirt, with similar styling, would be majorly chic and on-trend.
Alba finishes her designer look with studded black accessories, soft wavy locks, and a complimentary pop of red on her lips. Let me just say, that red lip is so essential to this look, don’t you think? Picturing any other shade just doesn’t give it the same wow effect for me. Regardless, I think all of us can make this look work and I look forward to trying it out for myself. It’s just the perfect combo of casual and dreamy.
