With all things hateful seemingly filling up our news feeds and headlines, we, as society are perhaps more socially aware (aware, in general, even) of the change that absolutely needs to come. I want my son to grow up knowing and having the best that this world can potentially offer. I want him to know the greatness of a united society, of peace, of safety; all of these things and so much more. As aware as I am, although I tend to be quietly opinionated on political fronts, I also thusly crave grand distractions. Naturally, my child offers the best in that caliber, but one Mrs. Blake Lively seems to be trending strongly on my blog front.
We all know that Lively is a number one stunner, no contest, but her maternity style has straight up stolen the spotlight and given us all a little slice of happy on a different front. Seriously though, the girl doesn’t quit. Her recent flood of appearances in promoting both The Shallows and Cafe Society have been gold star for sure.
For starter’s, let us first throw a shout out to this adorably lovely look she dawned for the New York premiere of Cafe Society:
When Blake headed to another appearance on The Tonight Show (7/18), she again dressed to impress in this look by Emanuel Ungaro:
You may be immediately drawn in to the harness-style straps, but this dress is certainly an all-over aesthetic dream. The soft pleats of the skirt, in contrast to the edgier industrial vibe of the strap details, is actually a winning combo, while the jagged lattice pink + black print is off-set by more delicate floral applique embellishments. Man, can Lively rock the hell out of a floral applique or what?!
Accessory game forever strong, hair always on fleek; Blake Lively is the It girl that gives us goals on goals on goals. If you are as stressed over the great presidential decision of 2016 as I am, let’s just all give Blake a little write-in nod. Bonus, Ryan Reynolds would be FLOTUS. Potential bonus bonus: Maybe she would bring Leighton Meester on board as VP.
