I swear that I did not solely watch the Academy Awards last night to watch Leo secure his first Oscar, freakin’ finally (and side note, Leo + Kate’s friendship is goals af). Given the fact that I basically get off on celebrity fashion, this was a must-see red carpet. Going into an awards show such as the Oscars, you expect a certain level of glitz and glamour to exert its prevalence over Hollywood’s elite. That’s fine. That’s beautiful. However, I also look for a select one or two looks that transcend the glitz and command attention, and this year Rachel McAdams gave me just that:
Is it just me or has Rachel’s style game totally amped up this past year?! I just love it! This jade color is absolutely everything; such a beautiful, luxurious jewel tone that is hitting every mark with aces. The color is not the only showstopping quality of this August Getty Atelier gown, can we talk about the train…and that super sexy thigh-high slit?! Oh, I think we can:
Her swept back hair and neutral makeup, partnered with a select few diamond accessories and Stuart Weitzman heels gave the soft glamorous vibe that was more than red carpet worthy.
Although Rachel did not take home the Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, Spotlight did take home the award for Best Picture. For that dress alone, though, here’s to you Rachel McAdams, here’s to you!
