I wanted to share one more look I was smitten with from this past Sunday’s Golden Globes; a non-navy look if you will. I love metallics on the red carpet and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley demonstrated how to do it right, donning this soft gold Atelier Versace piece:
To start with, Rosie is one of those people you just want to tell to seriously stop but don’t ever stop! So beautiful! The gown itself is perfectly draped to her body, with belted material emphasizing her tiny, fit waist. The spaghetti straps partnered with the deep-enough-V show off, all the more, her golden glowing complexion; which is further emphasized by her decision not to accessorize up top.
I am particularly loving the change in fabric above her knees. The turn to a more flowing, ethereal fabric of the same gold hue not only adds beautiful visual and textural interest, but gives a little extra magic to her supermodel silhouette. The whole gown has speckle, but the extra gold sparkle embellishments down the skirt are a great extra flash of glamour.
Her lob-style hair is perfectly waved and chick, and her more natural glam makeup is complimentary to the entire look, but we need to talk about her most talked about accessory of the evening. Rosie casually flashed a diamond laden finger on the red carpet, confirming her engagement to beau Jason Statham.
Rosie, 28, is twenty years younger than Jason, but damn, if ever an age difference worked these two are prime examples. Congratulations to the couple! I, for one, can’t wait to see wedding related news unfold.
