Support: Mended Little Hearts

Today I just want to use this platform to call to your attention this amazing organization that deserves more than just a little recognition. No one asked me to do this, I hold this organization close to me and simply want to encourage you to support them too.

Mended Little Hearts ( is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that has been around since 2004. Their ultimate goal is to help support and empower children and families affected by congenital heart defects. Little ones everyday are affected by these heart issues and it takes a toll not only on their little souls, but on their families and loved ones as well. They offer support groups, resources, and bravery bags containing comfort items for families and little ones undergoing surgeries and hospital stays.

If donating is your thing, you can donate any amount, but 20$ funds a braver bag that will be given to a family in need. This week they are also holding their Roar ‘n Run fundraiser and for a 20$ donation in support of the organization you can get this adorable little lion:

Having a little one with a heart defect is life changing and at times cuts you to the very core of your own existence. Having a place or person to turn to can be a godsend and Mended Little Hearts is on a mission to maintain a growing community of support and hope. Like their Facebook page, become a member of their organization, donate or purchase your own Stitch the lion (yes, he has a name!). They also have tshirts and the like if you want to be rad and wear your support!!

If you aren’t in a position to physically donate at this time you can keep all these beautiful babies and families in your prayers. These kids are, without a doubt, Heroes.

Thank you.
