ipsy: Summer Lovin’

We are midway through this summer you guys, and these hot days are certainly proving it. I’ve been in total mom mode with my more conservative hair and makeup, and I’m totally okay with that for a change of pace, but I do look forward to my glam bag still. July’s bag was titled Summer Lovin’ and featured some products I was definitely pleasantly surprised with.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics 2-in-1 Shadow/Liner

I have heard of Jelly Pong Pong before, I mean how could you forget a name like that after hearing it, but I haven’t tried it (to the best of my knowledge). This could best be classified as an eye crayon that could be used for both eyeshadow and lining purposes. I’ll go ahead and say upfront that it is made from pure beeswax so allergies beware, but it is 100% cruelty free so gold star. I love the bronze color for summer and the fact that I didn’t experience much smudging, although as always I do recommend a base primer. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by this! I would definitely use this in my shadow regimen, but it’s a little thicker than I like for an eyeliner. Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick

This one I haven’t heard of, but the fact that I am lipstick obsessed and this packaging features pretty colors, they essentially had me at hello. This lipstick by Teeez Cosmetics, Read my Lips Lipstick, is a satin matte finish lip color boasting up to 8 hours in lasting power. I received the shade killing me softly, a pretty summery coral shade, and I pretty much love it. It feels super creamy at application and hydrates thanks to coconut oil. Crown Brush Professional Tweezers

Who doesn’t need a good pair of tweezers?! This pair by Crown Brush is stainless steel and has tips that have been hand-filed at a 45 degree angle, which makes them optimal for getting in there and shaping your brows right. Octavio Molina Hair La Playa Salt Spray

I normally don’t get into salt sprays, mainly because I can never find one I like or doesn’t make my hair feel like crap afterwards. Due to my disdain as such I tried this out in my 7 year old niece’s hair and was actually quite happy with the results. It gave her soft beach waves and didn’t feel sticky or gross in her hair. It does contain an algae extract that contributes to keeping the hair soft, and it is 100% cruelty free! I am actually willing to put this in my hair, guys, it’s kind of a big deal. I am recommending this one for sure. You can use it on wet hair for volume and texture and on dry hair for separation and movement. I used it on my niece’s hair when it was dry and it definitely had that movement you want out of beach waves…she was like baby Blake Lively y’all. Vasanti Cosmetics Brighten Up! Exfoliating Cleanser

Let me tell you, one thing I am definitely loving about this bag is all the cruelty-free finds, and this one is no exception as it is 100% cruelty free, 100% paraben free, and 100% vegan. It’s an exfoliating cleanser meant to give you that natural, bright glow. The exfoliant part of the product is super fine thanks to micro-crystals, so it doesn’t feel harsh on sensitive areas of your face. My skin actually felt great after use, and it wasn’t greasy or tight like some products can result in. This formula is also further enriched with papaya and aloe, so not only is it nourishing to your skin but it has a nice, light scent too! Such a good bag to close out July with! I’m definitely curious what you other ipsters thought, and what you might have received that was different.

I’m loving my summertime spent with my little man and I certainly hope you guys are loving yours too!!
