Review: Maybelline Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth Foundation

I was looking to pick up a new drugstore foundation a week or so ago, so I headed to the Maybelline section prepared to grab a bottle of Fit Me! Foundation, as I’ve used it on myself and others in the past. I noticed they had two new additions to the foundation family: Matte + Poreless and Dewy + Smooth. I’m all about that dewy glowing complexion so I grabbed my shade and hoped it lived up to its name.

It did! Let’s discuss.

It’s a light to medium coverage foundation. I felt I got more of a medium coverage out of it, as I needed to follow up with less (some days no) concealer. As the Fit Me! brand promises, it matched my skin seamlessly and didn’t look unnatural after application.

The application itself was smooth, and hydrating even. My skin is on the drier side right now so that is a definite plus. On the days I applied without a primer, I still received a nice, flawless finish.

I loved how after I was done applying my complexion looked healthy and smooth. There was a dewy glow about it as well, which was beautifully maximized and emphasized by a little dusting of one of my favorite highlighting powders. I was quite impressed. Furthermore, the coverage lasted all day for me, even at the beach (ps: this foundation does offer SPF 18, but make sure you prime with something a little more potent if you’ll be venturing out in the sun all day….protect your skin!).

I don’t have anything negative to throw in about this foundation, which is a pretty good earmark of a great product. If you are in the market for a new everyday foundation or just want to try something new, I highly recommend Maybelline’s Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth Foundation.
