ipsy: Floral Fantasy

Baby Jude is 13 days old today!! While he is currently taking one of his post-milk naps I figured I could at least talk about the March ipsy glam bag, Floral Fantasy, on this, the last day of March.

**all images from this post came from http://www.ipsy.com**

I actually really loved the aqua-floral print of the March bag, it’s perfectly on trend for this Spring!!

Coolway Glow Oil Treatment

This is a finishing oil for your hair; which I have to go ahead and say that I have not actually used yet, being that a messy bun has been my hair protocol for nearly the last 2 weeks. However, something I already appreciate about this particular product is that it does not contain parabens, alcohol or sulfates, so it’s made not to be drying to your locks. Instead it contains Vitamin E and Porphyra Seaweed extract to maintain moisture. All in all sounds promising with warmer weather approaching, so if anyone has some tested and proven testimonial please share!

NYX Cosmetics Butter Lipstick

When I first stumbled upon my sneak peek for this bag I was most excited about this lipstick. To date, I’ve yet to meet a NYX product I didn’t love. I was really hoping to have received the dark plum-burgundy shade, but instead I got this mauvy-nude shade, “Pops”. Regardless, it is a great product. It has a very satin-y feel upon application, hence the “butter” label, which ensures it not only feels luxurious but applies smoothly. You get great color pay out as well, which makes the 6$ price point totally perfect. This particular line of NYX lipsticks hosts 22 different shades, so you’re bound to find one you love. Check out your nearest NYX retailer or visit them online at http://www.nyxcosmetics.com and use code NYXBUTTER at checkout to receive 25% off your Butter lipstick.

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter

I’ve actually received this product before in a subscription box/bag so this was a tad bit of a disappointment. I won’t speak too much on it either, since I am not a huge fan of the application of this as a highlighter. I prefer something a little creamy that is highly blendable and workable. As lovely of a shade this is, I just wish the formulation of the actual product was vamped up.

pur-lisse beauty pur-delicate gentle soy milk cleanser and makeup remover

I actually liked this little cleanser. It is a sulfate free formula containing whole oats, soy milk and white tea. Not only does this effectively cleanse your skin and remove left behind makeup, it also tones your skin helping to balance out pH levels. Right now if you shop on http://www.purlisse.com you can use code IPSYMARCH30 to receive 30% off any purchase and also nab some deluxe samples.

MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow

Mineral eyeshadow seems to be all the rage right now. Not only am I receiving tons of mineral sample products, but there seems to be more and more mineral lines hitting store shelves. I’ve always been pretty ambivalent to mineral makeup, but I actually really liked this shadow by MARSK. It’s a loose shadow, but has a creamy texture so it’s both blendable and buildable allowing for the creation of many different makeup looks. I like to prime my eye and dip a brush into MAC Fix+ before dipping my brush into the loose shadow (like using a pigment). I received the shade, “50 Shades” (have to love that!), so it was definitely right in my wheelhouse. Use code IPSY2015 when shopping at http://www.marskcosmetics.com to receive 20% off any purchase. Bonus: this is a cruelty free product!!

There you go guys, my thoughts and first impressions on the products in the Floral Fantasy glam bag. Hope everyone is enjoying what is hopefully the pick up of nicer Spring weather; as for me, beautiful baby snuggles are calling my name!!
