I always say that I like to give credit where credit is due, and let me just say that Ms. T. Swift has definitely earned her gold star. Now, before she hit her new fashion-forward-pop-goddess-stride, I was slowly falling out of like with her. But now…oh, now I think she is quite something when it comes to what she is seen wearing out and about. Not to mention, her new songs are unbelievably catchy and addictive, whether you want to admit to it or not.
It has been quite a while since I’ve done a celebrity fashion post, but what better way to get the ball rolling again then to discuss this incredible, beautiful Zuhair Murad gown that Taylor wore on the pink carpet for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after party, this past Tuesday night in London. Everyone looked amazing on the pink carpet, and throughout the whole night, but when I saw this gown I was instant-smitten.
How goddess-esque does Swift look?! This white silk, floor length gown from Zuhair Murad’s Fall/Winter 2014 Couture Collection was everything. The crystal embellished, sheer bodice, coupled with one embellished sleeve and one silken sleeve, was not only visually and texturally interesting, but was incredibly beautiful, and yes, sparkly! Also interesting is obviously the thigh high slit, allowing her towering tan legs to look all the more statuesque. To show further skin, the gown also showcased a low cut back, making the gown equally appealing coming, and going.
With her shorter blonde locks sleek and Hollywood glam perfect, and her flawless smoky eye-red lip combo, her outfit was further complemented by Jimmy Choo heels, and sparkly jewelry pieces by Borgioni, Sethi Couture, and Luna Rossa. This is one look I’m definitely a tad envious of!
Although the VS Fashion show was a couple of days ago and we’ve all seen tons of photos and video clips, the show will air in its entirety this upcoming Tuesday, December 9, at 10pm est on CBS. The “Sexiest Night of Television” is, oddly enough, a holiday tradition I always look forward to, so there’s always a blog post or two drawing inspiration from the event. I look forward to seeing how VS tops themselves from last year; from the vignettes, to the wings. In my little world, it’s exciting stuff!
