ipsy: Sensationally Sunkissed

This post was almost non-existent. But I feel like I needed to put something here as a placeholder, even if it all only amounts to is a handful of images and brief narrative of sorts. I have loved my ipsy glam bags and overall ipsy experience since I first subscribed, so I’m going to write the month of July off as an ipsy misfire, giving them the benefit of a doubt. I was billed my regular time, but my actual bag arrived two weeks later than usual, after a couple of emails to customer service (who were at least pleasant people on paper). By the time I got my bag (and this part is no fault of ipsy’s) my nephew tore into it and I was lucky to snap some photos.

Oh well. This wasn’t exactly my favorite bag anyway. The Whet nailpolish was a pretty color and I did like the Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass lip and cheek stain. The Hang Ten tanning oil is not my thing since I advocate sun safety after two melanoma surgeries. The pop bronzer was whatever, it had a nice plush texture, but I didn’t have my hands on it long enough to determine much else. The bareMinerals eyeshadow looked pretty, but my mom quickly scooped that up for herself. So yeah, ipsy misfire this month. I’ll post some of the photos though:

I recently stumbled upon ipsy bags and I am currently on the waiting list. Are they worth it? I’m a college student, so I’m limited on my funds on make-up and what not. It seemed like a neat idea, but I am not quite sure if it is worth the money if I don’t use every product. Are they mostly sample sizes?

I love them! I’ve only had one little glitch with them and you get a good mix of samples and full size. Plus, if you write reviews on the ipsy site you earn points you can essentially use like money 🙂 My August bag should be here any day 🙂

Wonderful! Thanks for your reply, I will continue to wait on the wait-list. Looking forward to receiving one in the future.
