Kate Hudson has always been the epitome of Bohemian Glam for me. So when I saw her in this edgier Michael Kors dress at the premiere of “Wish I Was Here”, held at AMC Lincoln Square Theater this past Monday in NYC, I was pleasantly surprised. Not to say that Kate’s appearance isn’t always on point (I’d raid her closet any day, for real), this particular look was just a standout for me.
The black floor length piece, sans straps, was a chic element to the edge provided by the sparkle bodice and midriff cutout. The hardware vibe of her Edie Parker clutch lent another fierce note, but I think it was her hair and makeup that brought it all together for me. Kate ditched the beach waves in favor of a sleek style, and her deep plum lip could rival anything Lorde could slap on, especially with the rest of her face left nude and dewy.
Additional metallic accents, like those of her bangle and her nail polish accent the edgy vibe all the for. I’m in love with this look. Gold (metallic gold) star for Kate.
