I have been putting this off and putting this off, but I really needed the distraction so here it is. And as this is written in a distraction seeking mindset, forgive me if my witty repartee, well, sucks. This months theme was “Fresh Picks”. With the Spring and Summer months here and approaching, these are basically products that are hoping to be your go-to’s this season.
eva-nyc Therapy Session Hair Mask
Although I can be quite the picky duck about my shampoos and general styling products, I do love me some hair masks, and this one by eva-nyc has gotten some amazing reviews. Next time I do a deep conditioning treatment, which I am certainly due for, I will be using this guy. This hair mask not only deep conditions, but also claims to repair and strengthen dry and damaged hair because of it’s Argan Oil content. The Keravis protein is what works to strengthen the hair (think: keratin). End results should produce soft and easy to manage hair. And now through June 15th, head over to http://www.eva-nyc.com and enter in code IPSY at checkout to receive 65% off your purchase…yeah, that’s a sweet deal guys.
Hang Ten Classic Sport SPF 50
SPF should totally be your BFF!! And not just in the sunny summer months, but year round. TRUST ME. This SPF from Hang Ten both protects and nourishes the skin, and has a lightweight feel and scent. It is water resistant and offers full body coverage from UVA/UVB rays. You can purchase it online at http://www.hangtensunscreen.com, and enter in code IPSY2014 at checkout to save 25%.
Pacifica Mineral Eye Shadow Duo
I don’t typically steer myself towards mineral makeup, and Pacifica is not a brand familiar to me. While I didn’t find anything ultra amazing and fantastical about it, it was not a bad product overall. The colors for light and neutral, great for a minimal spring eye look and pop of color on the lips. It is a quite sheer/light application so you’ll want to build it up to get true to package color. Pacifica can be found online at http://www.pacificabeauty.com, and the code ipsybeauty will get you 25% off your purchase at checkout.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
Too Faced. Now there’s a familiar friend. This is a no-shimmer, matte bronzer, infused with cocoa powder. The cocoa powder gives the bronzer a sweet chocolatey scent, and since it’s easily blendable you can use it for contouring and all over bronzing alike. This bronzer will even neutralize red skin tones. I love the feel of it and can’t wait to use it more. Of course, you can pick this up at Ulta, Sephora, and online at http://www.toofaced.com.
Avene Thermal Spring Water
This is perhaps my favorite little gifty this month, with the bronzer running a very close second. I’m sure many of you have seen similar products (I know Clinique made a quite similar one), but this seems to be a more superior product, based even on its backstory alone. The Thermal Spring Water is actually known most for treating atopic dermatitis; it is the only thermal spring water bottled directly from the source. It is also packaged in a sterile environment to ensure purity and maximum skin benefits. The Avene TSW is proven to soothe inflammation, itching, redness, sensitivity and post-medical and aesthetic procedure irritation, as it softens, protects and purifies your skin. You can also use it when cleansing, shaving, and setting your makeup. However, one of my favorite uses is to use to cool and refresh your skin after a workout, after being in the heat/sun, or whenever you just want to feel that little bit of refreshment on your face. My little secret is to store it in the fridge, or pop in the freezer (but don’t let it freeze!) so that when you mist your face you get a little bonus Jonas cool sensation. I highly recommend this one you guys!! You can purchase right from http://www.drugstore.com, and use code IPSY15 at checkout to receive 15% off any Avene product.
