We Need to Talk About Taylor Swift.

We Need to Talk About Taylor Swift.

Okay, normally I’m not on the TSwift bandwagon. Admittedly, back in the day of “Tim McGraw” and “Our Song” I actually quite liked her. I think it was just something about her attitude and love em and leave em behaviors that turned me off. I always say to give credit where credit is due, so this goes out to Taylor Swift in her custom J. Mendel look from last night’s ACM Awards in Las Vegas.
Known for her sparkly getups and gowns, Taylor looked absolutely amazing, and ultra chic in the black floor length skirt, with high slit, and white cropped top with asymmetrical shoulder cut outs. This was a custom piece J. Mendel had made for her, so it’s refreshing to see TSwift branching out in her fashion choices. Maybe it’s her friendship with Karlie Kloss rubbing off on her?? (she does look quite Karlie-esque lately, doesn’t she?!…but this is a rave not a rant so let’s move on). Taylor’s soft waves complimented her new shorter cut and her makeup was just enough drama appropriate for the evening event. I will admit though that I wouldn’t mind seeing her “signature” red lip here, but by no means do I dislike her in the medium tone hue. Her look was completed with a Jennifer Fisher ring, a Marina B bangle and ring, a black M2Maletier clutch and Casadei sandals with gold accent hardware. And if you look closely her earrings (does anyone know the designer for those??) have a blue-green color that matches the liner shade she is wearing on her eyes.
I will definitely have to give ol’ TSwift an A+ for this look. I will just ignore her personal life going forward (even though we all know to ignore that is unlikely) and keep my focus on what she hits the red carpet in next.
